Nell’ambito del Piano Nazionale della Ricerca Militare, il Ministero della Difesa ha promosso e finanziato il progetto Quasar.
Il progetto vede la cooperazione in ATS dei seguenti Enti:
- Università degli studi dell’Aquila
- Università “La Sapienza” di Roma
- Consorzio Nazionale interunivesitario per le telecomunicazioni – CNIT
- Scuola Superiore di studi universitari e di perfezionamento Sant’Anna di Pisa
- Università degli studi di Napoli “Federico II”
La proposta mira a sviluppare un QUANTUM SAFE NETWORK, basato sui paradigmi della device independent quantum key distribution a variabili discrete e continue, e su algoritmi post quantum che implementati su “full optical quantum processors” garantiscono una “strong authentication” e la resilienza della rete. Le innovazioni tecnologiche e architetturali saranno implementate attraverso la creazione di testbed in fibra ottica con una possibile estensione a comunicazione wireless e satellitari.
