From Monday 23 November, students and staff at αԼ can borrow eBooks and audiobooks for free with new app, BorrowBox.
The Learning Environments Team have subscribed to the app subscription, allowing students and staff across the group to have access to around 500 fiction eBooks and 125 fiction audiobooks.
How to use BorrowBox
In order to start browsing and using the BorrowBox eLibrary, students and staff must first download the application and register.
Marc Challans, Learning Environments Team Leader at αԼ said: “To do so, simply download the app from your app store, select ‘αԼ Group’ when prompted and sign in with your αԼ log in details.”
When asked about the new BorrowBox subscription, he added: “We’ve invested in the app to promote literacy and extracurricular reading for pleasure. Our aim is to try and build a collection of fiction that is tailored to our students and which is also available for staff to enjoy, so we’ll keep adding titles.
“Not everything is available as an eBook but we encourage students to get in touch with their local Learning Environment Assistant or myself with any recommendations you have.”
