A Cochlear Implant is actually two devices. The implant is the small package implanted under the scalp behind the ear. The processor is the electronics worn outside the ear. Most processors are worn behind the ear (BTE). They house a computer, microphones and battery. Manufacturers often give different names to each side.

Advanced Bionics is a division of Boston Scientific. Their latest implant is called the Hi-Res Bionic Ear with the Harmony processor. They also make the Clarion brand.
Cochlear Americas
This is the USA Distributor for the Australian Cochlear Corp. Their latest implant is called the Freedom. They also make the Nucleus brand. (Espanol)
MED EL
Medical Electronics, Inc. is based in Austria. Their latest implant is called the PULSARci100 with the Tempo+ processor. They also made the Combi40+ brand.
